assist job seekers in conducting an effective job search.
Current workshop topics include:
Stand Out Resumes
Learn the basics of creating a competitive resume.
Individual resume review appointments are available upon
Have you interviewed lately? Did you feel
prepared? Learn how to prepare for a job interview so you
will be confident and ready to make a positive impression.
Individual, digitally-recorded mock interviews are available upon
Master Your Job
A review of basic job search techniques, including using the
Internet and networking to enhance your job search is featured in
How To Complete Online
Many businesses accept only online applications. This workshop
covers the basics of submitting an online application that will
help you get noticed by a hiring manager.
Networking Your Way to
a New Job
Learn the process of developing relationships and contacts with
groups of relatives, friends, and acquaintances who can assist you
with your job search. Includes the use of social media to
network your way to a new job.
Open computer lab to learn/practice basic keyboarding, how to use
a mouse, etc. to assist in your job search. Walk-ins welcome
- no reservation needed.
All workshops are held at 2400 Glenwood Avenue in Joliet and are
