Operator SSG Directional Boring
These positions will require a no-tolerance probationary period, require on-time daily attendance without time-off or tardiness, and require participation into the local union and payment of union dues. All candidates must pass an EEI (Edison Electric Institute) pre-employment test prior to being considered as a candidate. CAST Test (Construction and Skilled Trade)Safety is a priority and training will be provided.
Duties and Requirements Duties:To operate, winterize, and complete daily inspection and minor daily maintenance of all System Service Group directional boring equipment. To use directional boring equipment to install Underground direct buried cables and associated pipe.

Job Requirements:

MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE RUNNING DIRECTIONAL BORING EQUIPMENT AND/OR LOCATING TOOL HEAD.The Equipment Operator will continue with on- going education and safety programs. Maintain a valid CDL. Be able to interact with customers in a professional manner. Successfully complete training classes associated with the job duties. Demonstrate safe work habits. . Employees entering into this classification shall be required to stay in this position for a period of one year.
